Binbike assembled for the first time. And test ridden. More riding tomorrow.

She's so.... safe, smooth and reliable. Thomas the anti-uranium Tank Engine! Shittyrail have a message for you: Do NOT ride bicycles skateboards or rollerblades. OK, the real deal - actually assembling BinBike for the first time. Unpainted, before the final brazing is done, but I want to ride it to make sure I haven't missed anything. Like, say, making sure the front wheel can rotate. The 20" non-disk fork with added disk mount needed to be filed out a bit before the disk bolts cleared the fork. Megan has dealt with this by adding a washer. I dislike washers in places like that - lose it and you can't ride the bike. Chain tensioner... but my wheel is so far back in the drops that the tensioner won't work. So I added an extra hole. BinBike I think the rear rack could have extended further forward. But I can poke the bin in there without any hassle, and hitting my kee/feet on the rack would be annoying. So why take the chance. Left side of the rear wheel is busy - Rohloff shifter, reaction arm and disk brake, plus the rear stay coming in. But it does seem to work, and I can possibly dump the reaction arm and rotate the shifter down if the dropouts are compatible with the Rohloff special ones.
